Inside Asiedua’s chest- My divorce a day after my wedding day

Although I loved Jo so much, I had to let him go. He was the man I was going to live with for the rest of my life and I couldn’t live doubting him forever. Honestly, trusting him again was going to be very difficult. I do not regret divorcing him. Maybe what happened was bound to happen for them to find their ways back to each other.
The post-divorce trauma was not easy to get over. My life was halted for about a year because of what happened. The 24/7 attention the family gave me was just unbearable; they monitored my every move as they feared I could hurt myself. I wanted to get away from everything to heal completely. I went to spend some time with my auntie and her family in London. I hated to hear Joojo’s name and anything that had to do with him or marriage. Why me? A day never passed without me asking myself this question.
It was just too hard to forget everything like that and move on. I barely spoke to anyone in my auntie's house. A psychologist was hired but I refused to speak with her. I could watch TV and listen to emotional songs all day but the whole thing flashed back whenever I heard or saw anything that had to do with weddings, marriages or relationships.

Then a new addiction came in - listening to motivational speakers and reading motivational books. I learned from one speaker that talking to someone could help. I tried to talk to the psychologist but what made me feel better was scripting it so I started. The story was done and posted on myjoyonline.com for the world to read it and learn from it. Joojo wrote an article published on the same platform, telling all sorts of lies about how he left me to marry the woman he cheated on me with on the eve of our wedding!
“I was deceived by the devil, baby, pleases forgive me” I still remember these words from Jo when he was explaining to me why he slept with his ex-girlfriend on the eve of our wedding. And now he is married to her? Wonders happen!
I haven’t tried picking up a relationship with anyone after Joojo but loving and trusting someone again will be very difficult. I have forgiven him, not because Joojo deserves it but because I deserve peace, but the lies, I can't let that go, Jo has to come back and tell the whole world the truth and stop confusing people!
I never knew Joojo could lie this bad! I am surprised that he did not explain any of the claims I made against him in my write-up 'Inside Asiedua's chest- My divorce a day after my wedding'. The title of his article 'Why I left Asiedua to marry Gloria' and I am still wondering why he wrote it in the first place...bad grammatical constructions...no coherence...and telling a totally different story instead of rebutting! How bad! I was so disappointed after reading it.
The ‘arrangement of vehicle for Asiedua after work part’, the ‘Asiedua doesn't like 'dumsor' and demolition parts’, are all lies! He did that just to divert attention from the main issue and he has to come back and explain!
Jo would rather come to my office after work each day to wait for me to drop him off at Dome where he lives before driving home. I have always known the opportunistic side of Joojo and his inability to speak or write good English but of course, love goes beyond all these. I did not mean to say all these about him but I have been forced to. How I wish I wasn't doing this with him publicly. Upon everything, I still remember the great times we shared and it never crossed my mind it was going to end like this - 's3 odo sa a na ato adapaa ampa!’

I wish him and his new wife well; I just hope he gets the courage to tell everyone the truth, whenever he is asked about our divorce. Anyone who has been in the shoes of the character (Asiedua) has seen real pain because imagining it and writing about it is not easy! I was provoked to revisit this issue by that lazy, incompetent, distorted article he wrote demonstrating clearly that he is unrepentant. I do not want to be drawn into a needless endless banter with him. It is energy-sapping.
But if he dares me again with a similar hail of lies, I will return, this time with vengeance!

Why I broke up with Asiedua to marry Gloria

Life is a simple step. I know you all can attest to the fact that when a man finds a beautiful woman, and I mean a BEAUTIFUL woman walking gracefully and exuding a confident serenity with tenderness of a calf and innocence of a primary school girl, the temptation is to hold your breath and walk up to her. That was exactly what I did.
That was how I met Asiedua. A very pretty young lady with all the trappings of a cosmopolitan, enlightened lady and promises to love a man for who he is, twisting her small waist and lighting up the studio with those smiles, she was the perfect choice for me. Her dressing, oh God, she dressed to kill.

Her tantalizingly provocative
boobs caught the eye of everyone; her lips brightened with red lipstick and those big eyes laid in the socket humbly and peacefully.
Yes, in the beginning, she showed the signs of a true lover, she would call me several times in a day just to say, “Hi baby, was wondering how your voice sounds like at 3:23pm, at 4:45pm." These things did really entice me.
I thought I had found the real woman of my dreams. For me, a guy who has chanced upon an angel without any difficulty, I did my best to pick her calls, buy her food and drive her safely home.

The first night I saw her parents, I immediately fell to ground in humility and kissed their feet. Anyways, that was what I needed to do to win their trust and assure them that if there was a man suitable for their well-bred daughter it was me.
Her father, Mr. Asiedu, is a great man. He counseled me greatly especially on the things Asiedua liked and the ones she hated. Asiedua didn’t like watching cartoons, she didn’t like darkness, she hated the depreciation of the cedi and when she is not given a month's notice on a demolition that happens in an area of her concern, she get angry. That was when I realized I was in a big trouble.
But, for the sort of things that Asiedua didn’t like, I realized I couldn’t survive with her. Besides, wasn’t her father aware of the situation in Ghana? Consistent darkness, which will be a normal exposure with us staying in Kumasi after the marriage.
With the cartoons, apart from the job I am doing, I own a cartoon firm. Also, just a week after our honeymoon, the Kumasi Mayor decided to demolish the area. For the cedi depreciating against the dollar, only God knows whether Asiedua can survive this.
But, Gloria, oh, what a lady. She was fair and tall. What a woman. The likes of Edem Knight-Tay in the making. She was this gorgeous looking young woman, who walked with style and swag. Her dressing was more of an entertainment industry artist manager. She strolled the corridors of Joy FM with her hat, adding a perfect correlation to her dressing.

Gloria drove her own car, so I needed not disturb myself booking a car to drive her home always, like what I did to impress Asiedua. Actually, I was doing this every day for Asiedua, costing me more than I earned a month. Calling on friends for financial aid became the order of the day for me.
But when Gloria came with that her luxury car, cost went down, and income came up small. She didn’t like the idea of me buying her lunch or taking her to a place for us to chill, she preferred paying for all those. What a love she had for me…. I mean we shared.
In the mornings, she would pick her phone and call me. I remember one time when she called me, I smiled to myself, 'oh my God, and that is the woman of my dreams'. Before I picked the call, I brushed my teeth, watched my mouth and in a relaxed mood, answered a call that had in like 10mins. Odo paa nieee.
She would smile at the other side of the phone and twerk her neck to the left side of her shoulders, even though I was not there, I knew God was revealing it to me some way or the other.
So, on the wedding day, I went to Asiedua’s home. Fortunately enough, her parents were there with her. She met me with a peck and led me inside the corridor. Taking a seat, I could feel my heart beat out of my chest.

Her parents smiled to me and I responded with a quick one. Then I broke the story as to why I could not marry Asiedua. I put all the blame on me. I wasn’t good for her. I was leaving in an area where darkness is our definition, I told them I was a member of the team that is making sure the cedi never appreciates and that, the Kumasi Mayor had planned to demolish an area for our wedding.
Instantly, they lost the love for me, her father’s mood changed towards me. He asked me…
Gentleman, what work do you do?
The I answered.. “I work with the Finance ministry, part of the depreciation team.”
You could see the man 'bore rough'. Then he went ahead to ask me the next question..
“Where do you live?”
Then immediately, Sodom and Gomorrah and Racecourse came to mind.
“Race Course”, I answered.
His eyes glistened with rage. Angrily, he asked me to leave his house, which I did in good faith. That was how I broke up with Asiedua, telling her that, the father was not interested in a guy who works with the finance ministry on part-time and a man who has a mayor as a friend and ready to demolish an area for his wedding.
Gloria was on my mind now.

Asiedua rushed to write an article trying to make me look like the devil. I have no regrets at all.

I will bring you Asiedua's side of the story too.

A Piece Of Peace: Stop comparing. Start Declaring

piece of peace by peace hyde

Hello and welcome to a piece of Peace, your weekly dose of motivation and inspiration. This week I would like to share on the topic of “Stop comparing. Start Declaring.”

This week I had a conversation with a young student who shared with me some challenges he was going through. He was downtrodden because he did not know how he was going to pay his tuition fees for the next semester. His uncle who has been taking care of him for the past year had decided not to do so anymore. He told me he felt like God was unfair. He looks around at some of his rich classmates and they seem to have life handed to them on a silver platter unlike him who had to work ten times harder to make a little bit of progress. His comparison with his classmates seemed to make him even more bitter because, “they are not even half as clever as I am but they get the chance to finish university simply because God decided to give them a rich family and not me,” said the young student. Sometimes when we are going through difficulties, it is easy to compare our situation with others, questioning why God has decided to put us through trials and given others an easy pass.

I know I have had moments where I felt God had abandoned me also. Over time, I have learnt that, at every low point he was always there to give a helping hand. This week I would like to share a brief word of encouragement for anyone out there going through a setback or difficult patch in your life. Stop magnifying your mountains and start telling your mountains how big your God is. Everyone is primarily one or the other. How often do we lay blame to our circumstances? I know I do. When we take responsibility for creating our lives we produce greater results than remaining in that negative place. Life does not always go the way we may want it to go and that cannot be controlled. We only have the power to choose how we react and respond to things that happen.

The more we lean into the downward spiral of negativity, the more we attract that into our lives. The more we choose positively the more we attract positive things into our lives. Today declare words of blessings over your life. You are a person of destiny. You are equipped. You are loved. Chosen and accepted by almighty God. There is nothing you can do to make him love you less. His grace is sufficient for you. His angels have charge over you.

You are blessed coming in and blessed going out. Shake that negative, critical spirit off you! If you have a pulse, God has a plan. He will always soothe your troubled mind. From grace we get our calling. When you are led by grace declare it and see it manifest in your life. And always remember, be yourself because everyone else is taken.

Much Love,

Peace Hyde.

Floyd Mayweather gets world most expensive car valued at $4.8 Million

mayweather

He is the world’s highest-paid athlete and now Floyd Mayweather Jnr  and now he is reported to won the world's most expensive  car. The boxer went to the Cars.com a few months back and sold his ultra-rare Ferrari for a shade under $4 million to pave the way for an upgrade.

This time he  settled for a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which sounds like a fancy espresso machine but is actually one of – if not the – rarest car on the planet. Unlike his former Ferrari Enzo, which was previously owned by the Sheikh of Abu Dhabi, Mayweather is one of two people on the planet to own a CCXR Trevita.

The car is so rare that the makers, KOENIGSEGG claims there are only 3 of such cars they have made so far in the world with Floyd being a proud owner of one. It costs a whopping $4.8 million for the man who made about $300 million earlier this year in that super fight with Manny Pacquiao.

The almost $5 million Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita car comes coated in a custom carbon fiber “that shines like millions of diamonds” when the sun hits it – but all you really need to know is it tops out at 254 miles per hour and goes from 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds. It’s practically a bullet, and one you won’t see on any soil unless you happen to cross paths with Mayweather.

I Swear To God, I Tried Everything To Abort My Child - Nana Aba Anamoah

Broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah has disclosed in a revealing interview with KOD she tried everything within her power to abort her child some 12 years ago.

She told host of Live360, it was a difficult period in her life.

“It was difficult when I was pregnant. When I was pregnant, I was really young. I was a teenager. And I got pregnant. I swear to God, I tried everything to get rid of that child and it didn’t work. It just didn’t work. I remember one time when my mother suspected I was pregnant; she said to me you are going to do a pregnancy test the next morning.

She added that her brother colluded with her in her quest to abort the pregnancy.

“And then, I spoke to my brother and said ‘okay they said I should do a pregnancy test so give me your urine because I don’t want to give them my urine. And it came back positive. It came back positive then I knew my son didn’t want to go because I tried everything. People had given me injections, I did everything. And I can understand why this boy just wouldn’t go because he changed my life.”

Asked what kind of mother she is, she had this to say.

“Sometimes I think I’m irresponsible other times I think I’m the greatest mom. I feel I’m an irresponsible mother every time I wake up at 4(am) and see my son still sleeping and I’m not there to help him get ready for school. Then I feel I’m an irresponsible mother but I have my way of making it up to my son.

He’s come to understand. He knows I’m the only one taking care of him and so he understands. He is very independent.”

She has a pretty good relationship with her son, “He tells me everything including the girls. We are very close.”

PHOTOS: Kwaku Bonsam flaunts fleet of cars

IMG_2653-620x400

Nana Kwaku Bonsam is certainly an intriguing traditional fetish priest who does not stay in a mud house with raffia roofs but rather lives a luxurious lifestyle and has a good taste of style and class.

NEWS-ONE visited Bonsam at his Sarpieman shrine on Monday and observed he had lined up several luxurious vehicles, all branded with his name, stickers and posters.

The paper first asked Bonsam why he bought the cars and what he uses them for.

“Yeah I love cars; I love big cars and I have them too—about twenty. But I did not buy all of them. Most of them are gifts from my clients and I also give out to people I love or want to surprise.

“For example this one (a black Cadillac Escalade ESV) is a gift from a pastor client in Zimbabwe. When they come down, they show me love. They are not like the Ghanaian pastors who wait till I chase them. Some even forget about me when their churches get the crowd they want. The Range Rover is also a gift from another pastor from the same country. He paid for a smaller Range and I added some money to get the bigger one,” Bonsam explained with visible excitement in his eyes.

IMG_2710
IMG_2617
The traditional priest then engaged the paper in a lengthy lecture on why he thinks he is doing God’s work though he uses lesser gods.

“If I do something to make your church grow and you get the crowd and preach from the Bible to them and they become righteous, am I also not doing God’s work? It is just like going on evangelism to invite people to church.  I can say I have made more people go to church to listen to the word of God than some of the baby Christians who insult me and call me a devil.
IMG_2630
IMG_2604
“Those who know me understand I am not the devil people say I am. They love me and if you stay a little longer, you would see me playing football with the area youth. We have a match today and I would play 7,” Bonsam added.

The paper observed the traditional priest has some of his deities and gods in a fully-tiled room fitted with air condition, a rather unusual place to find carved effigies of smaller gods.

Bonsam also had an ambulance he said he would turn into a “clinic on wheels” for the Sarpieman community. Among the several cars on his compound were a Cadillac Escalade ESV, a Ford Excursion SUV, a Ford Super Duty F-250 XLT, a Chrysler 300 C and several others.

Bonsam said his Akumada-Afrancho residence in the Ashanti Region has more vehicles than the one in Accra.

Take Your Waist Trainers Off When Going Out - John Dumelo Advises Ladies

Waist training is a gradual process of waist reduction using a waist-cinching corset. The waist training practice came to prominence in Victorian times but has made something of a comeback in recent years.

Female celebrities all over the world have come to love this process of obtaining a glass-like-figure. Ghanaian female celebrities like Bevelyn Afaglo, Princess Shyngle, Becca, Damilola Adegbeti, Moesha Bodoung among others have made it publicly known that they wear it too.

Some wear it to exercise, others to control their diet and to some, it depends on the kind and style of dress they wear.

But how do the men feel when they hug a lady and instead of having a feel of something soft, its hard .

Male celebrity, actor John Dumelo who from the look of things is not too happy about such act decided to express his view on this issue. He took to Instagram to talk about it.

"I REMEMBER WHEN YOU HUGGED A GIRL AND SHE FELT ALL SOFT...
NOW THEY'RE ALL WEARING WAIST TRAINERS.
FEELS LIKE YOU HUGGING THE POLICE".

Destiny: Message from the Morning Man

A wise man was walking through a cornfield when a young man walked up to him with a question.   "I can't tell what my destiny in life must be. How do I figure it out, old man?"   The old man stopped walking and took a look at the young fellow. "What's that on your finger?"   "That's my wedding ring", he replied.   “Give it to me”, the old man commanded.   The young man gave his ring to the wise sage, who promptly threw it into the cornfield.   “Why did you do that?” the bewildered young man screamed. “Now, I have to stop everything to look for my ring”.   “And why do you have to stop everything to look for it?” The old man enquired.   “Because it’s important to me”, the distraught young chap groaned.   The sage grabbed the young man by the shoulders and exclaimed excitedly, “Well, that’s your answer, my son. We define our own destinies by deciding what is important to us”.   My friends, this is a universal fact. The things we choose to spend our limited time and money on, are what will determine our destinies.   If you want to pass your exams and be a doctor, but you spend your time watching telenovelas, then I guess you know what destiny you will achieve.   If you want your business to expand and open branches across the country, and you’re spending your profit on cars, then you know what destiny you’re working towards, don’t you?   The same principle applies to our nation. We are a developing country with limited resources. Let’s ask ourselves: what do we spend our money on? Which of our citizens do we pay the highest salaries to? Which sectors do we spend our scarce resources on first? If we’re buying V8s while children go to school under trees, if we’re paying politicians on time while our teachers go for several months without a salary, if we’re paying members of parliament ex gratia while poor citizens, after contributing to national health insurance, still have to pay for healthcare, then we know what destiny we’re working towards, don’t we?   Our destiny is determined by one thing only: our priorities. So today, ask yourself: what are yours?   My name is Kojo Yankson, and I know what’s important to me, therefore, I already know my destiny.
GOOD MORNING GHANAFO!

The tiny babies, which was born by Caesarian section after just six-and-a-half months, have spent months in an extremely delicate health, connected to breathing tubes in incubators. 6. When “our day” was the best and most important day in your life
“Our Day” is the day you vacate from school, as such all parents prepare special dishes and give their best bowls, baskets and laces to their kids to take to school to celebrate their last days. What heaven it was. In some schools, teachers will tear bits of everybody’s food and share it among kids who couldn’t make it to school with dishes. God bless their hearts.
